Outdoor Classroom Day

Making Spiderwebs

Time for hot chocolate

In October the children celebrated Outdoor Classroom Day. We were set the challenge of completing a day’s school work outside. We did maths (maths trail and pattern finding in nature), reading, writing, drama, art, PE and much more outdoors. Naturally we had to finish with a hot chocolate to warm us up as and a little reward for our efforts. We had a wonderful day.

Congratulations to all the children in 2nd and 3rd class for completing a term of knitting. A huge thank you goes out to all the people who joined us every Tuesday to teach the children this lifelong skill. Your commitment (and patience!) is much appreciated.

Here’s hoping the children will continue to knit for many years to come.

Happy Halloween

We had great fun dressing up for Halloween.

Congratulations to Seán, the headless man, winner of the best costume.

The children in the middle room are still busily knitting. They are making great progress. We will soon put up some photos.
